Dear colleagues, our graduate and postgraduate students! We want to wish you happy New Year holidays! Take a moment to reflect on how much you accomplished in 2022. There is no limit to what you can do in 2023! May this year bring you much success and joy!

On December 23, on New Year and Christmas Eve, students of Southern Federal University took part in the New Year Quest organized by teachers and students of the International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies.

To complete the quest, participants had to present the traditions of Christmas  and the end of the year  celebration that are common either in their native country or in the country of the language studied. Foreign students presented the traditions of Georgia, China, Colombia and Pakistan. In addition, Russian students made a presentation about traditional New Year films, which are the part of the celebration of New Year in Russia. The audience was particularly interested in the presentation of the film “Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!”.

We thank everyone who took part in our international Quest! We look forward to seeing you again next year!
